Daydream: Island Nation, Part 1

Sleep, boredom, defiance …for whatever reason I was off-task almost all day today. I think it may be a slack-off hangover from Sunday. Anyway, I was daydreaming at my desk. I dreamt we all ship wrecked on a dessert island …or was it a desert island? Whichever. Yea, everyone was there. Even you. Oh, but not you. Sorry. The sand was white. The jungles were plush and, um …verdant. And like all cool fantasy islands there a small mountain in the middle. First thing we did form our own nation and declare a week-long national holiday–the type we get off work for. Next we began building a tree-top network that would rival the Swiss Family Robinson’s pad. We soon realized our original construction plans involved far too much effort so we built a couple lean-tos (yea, I checked the spelling on google) and began training monkeys (not the cheekey variety) to complete the rest of the project. The monkeys got about half way through before I came from my trance and noticed it was time to go home. So anyway, about founding a new nation on our own island, I found a ton for sale if anyone wants to go in on one.

Also, is it just me or do you people think the plural of monkey should end in “ies”? Why is it any different than monies?
